Woodland
Cat
Sanctuary
Every day within my community, I hear talk about litters of abandoned kittens that need a home, a stray cat that keeps multiplying with other stray cats, or an old cat left behind by the people it once called a family. I remember thinking one morning while I was looking at a post asking for people to open their homes for a litter of kittens and wishing so badly that I could help. Then I thought... Why can't I? That's where the idea for the Woodland Cat Sanctuary came in. The goal of this sanctuary is to provide a place where abandoned felines can receive the Love, Safety, and Medical Assistance they need before trying to find a family to adopt them.
Love
All cats deserve to feel loved.
It seems like a pretty self-explanatory concept, right? They are living creatures just like you and I. Like us cats also need love to thrive and at the Woodland Cat Sanctuary they can receive that! Whether its from myself, my family, or volunteers, I can assure you that any feline young or old will feel just like part of the family.

Safety
A home fit for a pride of feisty felines!
My plan is to have a comfortable indoor space with a lot of enrichment for cats. I'd also like to incorporate a caged-in outdoor area; large enough for them to enjoy running around or basking in the warm sunlight. This allows them to have a home where they can feel safe and explore without having to worry about the dangers of being a stray.

Medical Assistance
A clean bill of health is essential for everyone!
Any kitty that get's brought to us will be taken to the vet for a medical check-up. This will include making sure the cat is healthy, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and spay/neutered before they are brought to live in the sanctuary. In the event that a cat is brought to us in need of a major medical surgery, I will do everything I can to raise enough money to make sure the cat is given the care it needs.
